Royal Deeside and the Spey Valley

Full Day - Braemar & Ballater
Our trip today takes us over the Tomintoul to Cock Bridge pass to Royal Deeside. The pretty Victorian town of Ballater sits in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park, a favourite spot of the Royal family. Visit the old Royal Station, now a museum and the many craft and gift shops. Afterwards we travel to Braemar, renowned worldwide for its Highland Games. En route we pass Balmoral Castle, the summer residence of the Royal family and Crathie Kirk. 

Full Day - Cairngorm Mountain Railway & Inverness
Breath-taking views await at the top station of Cairngorm! Take the funicular train to the UK's highest restaurant, a 270° immersive exhibition space and viewing platform offering spectacular views of the mountain range. We continue to Inverness, the 'Highland Capital of Scotland', a bustling city with plenty of shops, galleries and museums.

Full Day - Forres & Nairn
The beautiful town of Forres is a regular winner at Scotland in Bloom. The town is built around a 900-year-old high street with the Tolbooth towering over the centre. Stroll the market square and mercat cross with an eclectic mix of independent shops. Later we visit the ancient fishing port of Nairn. Long sandy beaches look out over the spectacular Moray Firth, a haven for dolphins and wildlife.

The grand Victorian Craiglynne Hotel sits in its own grounds just a short walk into town. Open fires create a cosy atmosphere in the lounge and bar and the restaurant offers traditional Scottish cuisine. There is also a sun lounge and outdoor terrace plus a lift to all floors. Rooms have flat-screen TV, complimentary toiletries, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.
